Visual design

At the start of every new project, our primary goal is to fully understand the history of the interior. To do this, we gather the most comprehensive information about the building's original purpose, its architect, and the style and period it represents. It is also of paramount importance to identify decorative elements in other parts of the building that can be referenced and that will guide our work. It is not unusual to start this process by researching a historic mural.

A full understanding of the budget and the project, as well as the owner's needs, helps us to make the best decisions about what to preserve, restore or recreate. Then, once we have all the information we need, we start to develop the visual plans for the work, detailing the motifs in digital form. This will allow the owner and other stakeholders to get a better understanding of the intended artwork and to see how the colours and design elements will interact with the existing environment.

RESEARCH

Our research will uncover the forgotten and worn murals. We always seek to discover the life and work of the painter(s) by delving into the circumstances of the original painting. Our aim is to gain a deeper insight into the world of the artists and to see buildings in their former glory through their eyes. As part of our research, we will examine a wide range of sources, including information available on the internet, literature, archives and photographic documentation.

Visual design

The design phase will start based on the results of the research work. The final design will be entirely at your discretion. You can choose between digital samples and visual designs, but you can also choose to have your samples detailed or even converted into stencils. This can also make your design process more efficient, and we can tailor every detail of the project to your vision.
